Start Date: ASAP (Temporary until July, Permanent from September) Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience) Contract: Temporary in the first instance, with a permanent opportunity from September

About the Role

We are currently seeking a creative and passionate Art Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school with an immediate start available. This position will run on a temporary basis through to the end of the academic year, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract from September.This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and nurture their creativity within a supportive and well-resourced department.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inspiring Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
• Encourage creativity, self-expression, and artistic development
• Plan and assess work in line with curriculum guidelines.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Contribute to displays, exhibitions, and wider school activities

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
• Experience teaching in a UK secondary school
• Strong subject knowledge in Art and design
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
• A passion for fostering creativity and student engagement
