IT Procurement Lead

Location: London

Rate: £500 - £600 per day (Outside IR35)

Duration: 4-6 months initially

I'm working with a large public sector organisation undergoing a significant technology transformation programme, who are looking to appoint an experienced IT Procurement Lead to support a critical phase of delivery.

This is an urgent requirement and offers the opportunity to play a key role in managing complex technology procurement activities, ensuring governance compliance and delivering procurement outcomes across a range of strategic technology initiatives.

The successful candidate will take ownership of end-to-end procurement processes, working closely with programme stakeholders, suppliers and evaluation panels to ensure procurement activity is delivered effectively, compliantly and in line with public sector regulations.

The IT Procurement Lead should have experience in:

• Minimum 5 years' experience leading procurement activities within the public sector
• Strong IT and technology procurement experience
• End-to-end procurement lifecycle management, including tender creation, market engagement, evaluation and contract award
• Public sector governance processes, standing orders, forward plans and gateway reporting
• Strong knowledge of CCS Frameworks including G-Cloud
• Local Government procurement experience would be highly advantageous
• MCIPS qualification preferred
