Are you an engineering Subject Matter Expert for projects in a manufacturing environment?\n\nRole Responsibilities – Senior Project Engineer\n\nManage the planning and implementation of capital and revenue projects, covering factory equipment, process, packing lines, site services, process engineering, as well as construction design management\nDrive line installations and BAU engineering projects\nPlan, execute and lead project activities for feasibility studies, equipment specifications, supplier selections, equipment commissioning and validation\nReporting directly to the Project Engineering Manager, you will have complete autonomy to deliver pragmatic, value-engineered projects to cost and time specifications\nYou will coach, mentor, and develop your multi-functional teams of engineers and designers/contractors\nThe projects will cover factory equipment, including packaging, processing, and site activities\nEngineering Compliance Champion: Ensure all engineering activities meet industry standards\nYou will lead engineering and production teams during equipment installation and start-up, supplier selection, feasibility and justification analysis, and equipment commissioning\nLiaise with departments cross-functionally to ascertain requirements and define project scopes\nPreparing specifications/briefs which will go to external suppliers for tender\nManaging tender processes, including supplier selection exercises\nManaging external suppliers throughout the project lifecycle\nQualifications & Requirements – Senior Project Engineer\n\nMechanical or Electrical Engineering backgrounds will be considered, ideally in a regulated environment, from high-volume manufacturing.\nExperience developing technical engineering solutions in automated environments\nAn experienced Project Engineer from FMCG manufacturing, food preferred\nIdeally, A degree in Engineering or time-served engineering qualifications with a further education qualification in project management\nHigh level of IT literacy (and ideally fully conversant with MS Project)\nProven Leadership and senior stakeholder management: Significant experience in a senior engineering management role within the manufacturing FMCG-related sector\nThis could include Food, Drink, Pharma and related consumer goods manufacturing, encompassing process and packaging\nMechanical/electrical qualification or equivalent, ideally a degree, even better if you are chartered!\n5+ years of Engineering leadership experience; with exposure to FMCG environments ideal\nExcellent People leadership skills to motivate, lead and drive projects\nWhat's on Offer – Senior Project Engineer\n\nCompetitive salary\nControl and exposure to budgets\nStrategic planning and capital expenditure delivery\nImpactful Work: Play a key role in the company's success and make a tangible difference\nCollaborative Environment: Be part of a team that values innovation and creativity\nFor more information on this role, please contact Mike Butler on (phone number removed) or send a copy of your CV to (url removed)\n\nCandidates who are currently an Engineering Manager, senior project engineer, Engineering project manager, production engineer, CAPEX Manager, Mechanical or packaging project engineer may be suitable for this position.\n\nSuitable for FMCG, process, Manufacturing, health & hygiene,  food and drink and packaging Industries, primarily \n\nOmega is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
